PARENTS & CAREGIVERS
For most parents of a special needs child, the first few years of life send them on a crash course toward advocacy. No matter what your childs diagnosis is or how old t
hey get, one things for sure - you want the best for them. At SNAP & PFSS we help families address their immediate concerns and help them indentify the transitioning needs of their loved ones and family into the future. From intake and referral services to grant programs and parent training, our skilled trainers and support staff assist families one step at a time. For more information use our caregiver link to be redirected to our support services menu.
RESOURCE PROVIDERS
Collaborating with schools, MSC's support groups, community centers, and therapists have been critical to the success of our agency. Together we present hundreds of parent training workshops at host sites in the Metro NY area each year. Use our provider link to view our resource listings, calendar of events and conferences, find out about becoming a host site for our trainings, and to download articles of interest and intake sheets to share with your consumers.

I've seen guardianship trainings 100 times, but never like this. I love the way you relate to the parents perspective and use fun, informative training tools to drive the point home. - Monica Sanabria, Bx Autism Society of America |

Just as important as the training was, the warm way you related to our parents, which made them feel comfortable enough to ask questions was what I call effective comminicating! - Sonia Sasson, LSMW, Easter Seals |
